/00 Architecture workbench

Draft your architecture from a brief. Keep it as one living model.

Describe a system in a sentence. Arq drafts the C4 views, you accept or reject each block, and the result is a real model your team and your coding agents can build on, in ArchiMate, C4, BPMN, ER and UML.

14 days free, no card. Then $10 per user per year. The demo needs no sign-up.

Arq's view editor: a C4 container view drafted from a brief. Customer portal and Intake API are accepted; Database, Event bus and Fraud scoring are dashed proposals, and the panel explains why Fraud scoring was proposed.

/01 How it works

  1. /01

    Describe

Write a brief, import an ArchiMate or BPMN file, or start from a notation's palette.

  2. /02

    Review

Arq's proposals appear as dashed blocks with the reason for each. Accept, reject or edit them one at a time or all at once.

  3. /03

    Build on it

Accepted work is one model with history and diffs, shared with your team, exported to your tools, and readable by your coding agents.

/02 One model, many notations

Every box is an element with one identity, whichever notation you draw it in.

ArchiMate, C4, BPMN, ER and UML views are projections of the same graph. Rename a component in one view and it is renamed everywhere, with one history.

Connections offer only the relationship types the metamodel allows, so the model stays valid as it grows.

An ArchiMate view imported from an Archi exchange file: Adjuster assigned to Assess claim, served by the Claim assessment application inside the Application layer.
A BPMN collaboration in Arq: Customer and claims department pools with Intake clerk and Adjuster lanes, a gateway, a timer and a message flow.

/03 Works with what you have

Bring your models in, take them anywhere.

Import an Archi model or a BPMN process and keep working on it. Arq reports anything it cannot map exactly, and invents nothing.

An Arq model exported to ArchiMate or Structurizr and imported again comes back unchanged, and every export is deterministic, so it diffs cleanly in Git.

/04 Coding agents over MCP

Your coding agents read the architecture, and propose changes to it.

Connect Claude Code or any MCP client with a workspace token. Agents can search the model, read the context around an element, validate a change and propose changesets, which land in the inbox for review.

Or download a context pack: an ARCHITECTURE.md and constraint files generated from the model, to keep in your repository next to AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md.

A model's inbox in Arq: a proposal from an external agent over MCP to add the claims notification service, with each change and its rationale.

/05 Governed changes

Agents propose. People accept. Every change is on the record.

  • Every edit is a typed, validated changeset, from the canvas, an import, Arq or an agent.
  • Revisions with a semantic diff show what changed, not just that something did.
  • Concurrent edits merge, and conflicting ones are refused rather than silently overwritten.
  • Read-only share links let stakeholders see a view without an account.

/06 Architecture hub

Start from validated reference architecture.

Lattix's architects publish packages that pass Arq's validation. Import one into your own model with its views, change it freely, and pick up new versions without losing your changes.

/08 Security and data

Your architecture is sensitive. Arq treats it that way.

Isolated by tenant

Every read and write is scoped to your organization and workspace, and tested against cross-tenant access.

Keys and tokens protected

Your model keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. MCP tokens are stored only as hashes and can be revoked.

No training on your data

Arq does not train models on your data. Hosted AI is metered and stops at your credit, never overspends.

Hardened by default

A strict, nonce-based content security policy, hardened XML import and no third-party trackers.

On the roadmap Data residency choice, single sign-on and SOC 2.

/09 Questions

Frequently asked

What happens when the trial ends?

Your work stays. The workspace becomes read-only until someone subscribes, and nothing is deleted. You never enter a card to start the trial.

Do I have to use Arq's AI?

No. Every feature works by hand, and drafting is one way to start. Each subscription includes a monthly hosted AI credit, and you can add your own Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenAI-compatible key to draft without using it.

Can AI change my model without me?

No. Arq's drafts and coding agents only propose. Proposals appear as dashed blocks or in the inbox, and they become part of the model only when a person accepts them.

Can I bring my existing models?

Yes. Import ArchiMate Exchange files (for example from Archi), Structurizr DSL and BPMN 2.0 XML. Export all three, plus Mermaid, SVG and PNG, so nothing is locked in.

Do you train models on our data?

No. Arq does not train models on your data. When you draft with the hosted credit, the brief and the relevant part of the model are sent to the model provider to answer that request only.

How is billing counted?

One plan with every feature, per member of the organization: $10 per user per year, or $1 per user per month. Seats follow membership, so adding or removing a member adjusts the next invoice.
